About Alexander Design

Alexander Design is a globally-recognized Los Angeles-based interior design firm specializing in residential, retail and hospitality environments. Founded by design principal Vanessa Alexander, we are a creative team dedicated to crafting holistic spaces informed by our clients’ visions, lifestyle and stories. Alexander Design provides multidisciplinary services from concept to move in, from ground-up construction and full build-outs to creating custom design elements from lighting to staircases. We not only aspire to create incredible spaces but to also create an experience highly attuned to our clients’ individuality through a comprehensive design that begins from the moment you step onto the property.

We approach each project, whether residential or commercial, with a unique understanding of the logistical rhythm of a space. Valuing a lasting impact over trend, our signature aesthetic blends global influences with California living, a visual and experiential concept at the heart and soul of every project on the West Coast and beyond. Our style employs a blend of contemporary lines with earthy textures — fused with vintage pieces from a variety of periods — resulting in a layered look, rich in texture and influence yet completely livable. We draw influence first and foremost from context and surroundings; we believe that a successful project comes from a harmonious relationship between architecture, design, landscape.

Inspired by light, the logistical rhythm of space, and a practical lifestyle!

Above all else, we are advocates for our clients, most of whom have become repeat customers and great friends.

Alexander Design’s clients range from the lawyers and agents of Hollywood’s elite to celebrity chefs and high networth financiers. Hospitality projects include the acclaimed Malibu Farms, a restaurant series native to California with new locations opening in New York City and Tokyo.

Our work has been published in ELLE Decor, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, as well as in titles in Asia, Europe and South America.
